Donations

Without the generous donations we receive from individuals and organisations, we would not be able to make Norwich Open Christmas what it is. We need your help to provide food parcels and clothing to every guest, especially those who are homeless or sleeping rough.

How to donate

Food

​Many of our guests live alone, therefore need a variety of small size non-perishable food items, and for our homeless guests, easy to open tins (for example, a ring-pull). If you are donating food, please provide a variety of meat and vegetarian friendly options as we try to cater to dietary requirements. 

Non-perishable food for our guests to take home​​

Small boxes/cartons

• Breakfast cereals
• Cake
• Fruit juices
• Pasta and pasta meals
• Rice and rice meals
• Instant mash potato
• Chocolate bars
• Biscuits, snacks and crisps
• Cup a soups
• Tea and coffee
• Milk (UHT or powdered)
• Custard (ready to eat)
• Sugar

Tins

• Fruit
• Stew
• Sausages and beans
• Steak and kidney pies
• Salmon/tuna
• Ham
• Potatoes
• Peas
• Tomatoes
• Soup
• Baked Beans
• Vegetables
• Puddings
• Macaroni​

Other items required for our festive bags (preferably in small packets or tins)

• Christmas cakes (alcohol free)
• Biscuit selection tins
• Tins of wrapped sweets
• Plus other snacks our guests might enjoy

Non food items

• Compact sleeping bags
• Foil blankets
• Foam camping mats
• Range of unisex toiletries - in 'handy' sizes

We are unable to accept ordinary blankets, duvets and towels due to bulk

Support beyond Christmas Day
Any items we do not distribute on Christmas Day will be donated to local charities that help support our guests throughout the year.
